Here’s one of those cool things we learn about God because He tells us about Himself.

Anyone can thank God regardless of how they understand Him.  There are certainly greater steps to be taken in knowing Him personally but anyone can and should thank Him.

Family Giving Thanks

In this letter Paul spells out things about God for mature believers (Romans 15:14 – “I am satisfied … that you are… filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another.“).

Paul states that God has revealed Himself to all people.  He says that God has shown His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, clearly to all people through nature.

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Philippians 1:6 NLT

I started off the other morning OK and found opportunities to demonstrate joy and peace.  Sometimes I deal with the opportunities well; sometimes not so much.

As Peter did, I took my eyes off Jesus, looked to the circumstances around me and I found myself floundering.

Nathan then said to David,
“You are the man! Thus says the LORD God of Israel, ‘It is I who anointed you king over Israel and it is I who delivered you from the hand of Saul.  I also gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your care, and I gave you the house of Israel and Judah; and if that had been too little, I would have added to you many more things like these!'”
2 Samuel 12:7-8 NASB

Romans 10:21 But as for Israel He says, “ALL THE DAY LONG I HAVE STRETCHED OUT MY HANDS TO A DISOBEDIENT AND OBSTINATE PEOPLE.” (NASB – sent from CadreBible) God’s patience is beyond comprehension. As someone who has lost faith with others at times or expressed my frustration even when another person may be trying diligently but still not succeeding, I am impressed with God’s patience even to a person or a people who are disobedient or obstinate towards His authority & commands.
